I'm a 40 yrold white male who likes to keep in shape. I live with my dog (no kids) in Lehigh Acres, making a comfortable living. Finding a mate is important, but I'm not willing to sell myself short. I dream of the fairytale life: being wealthy beyond immagination, profiting endlessly from that brilliant invention, or building a startup company that grows into a Fortune 500 titan, or writing that great American novel which ushers in a new era.Then I get home to my dog Phoebe every day, making a big deal to greet her as I walk in the door. She's 8 years old, now, and showing slight signs of aging. Within a couple of minutes of my ritual excitement to see her, her paws prancing up and down as she does her dance of joy, I let her out to the yard. I stand there in the doorway, reflecting on the day, taking a deep breath...and realize that it's a good life, after all.
