I've been chasing shadows to find your heart,,, In the most unusual places I must admit,,, From there to here and back to start,,, So many times I just forgot where to begin,,, The darkened room and corner booth,,, This night I couldn’t resist,,, To find in your eyes the comfort of home,,, I found myself begging for a kiss,,, Talking about nothing it wasn't the plan,,, Took us long into this night,,, I savored the scent I was at your command,,, What went wrong with something so right,,, So waters reflect on me a scene,,, As I look past all my regret,,, And I kick the dark until sunlight it bleeds,,, And I start chasing shadows again....
Come close to me and look into my eyes; tell me what you see. Try to look deeper in them and find yourself in me. During the day or be it night whatever I see... it's you in my sight. I see myself in the mirror... it's you. Thoughts are worthless thoughts if the thoughts are not... of you. Am I myself?... (I wonder at times) or is it you in me that shines? Have you lost yourself... in me? for it's only you... my eyes can see.
